As if to prove that CrossFit helps you prepare for the unknown and the unknowable, CrossFit Londoner Carlos is off to ride a stage of ‘Le Tour’ (for charity). Pretty bad-ass.

The Etape du Tour rides through a stage of the Tour de France. This year the Etape is going through Stage 17 which goes from the town of Pau, over 3 mountain tops ,and finishes on the monumental Col du Tourmalet, the highest road in the Central Pyrenees. It’s a mere 181km, with the last 41km being an up-hill ride to the top of the mountain. So no biggie…

Carlos is one of the brave band of early morning CrossFit Londoners; dragging himself out of bed at an ungodly hour to train at 0630!

Awesome. Best of luck with this! Nice to see you picked one of the hardest climbs in the Tour in the Tourmalet!

No problem to Carlos. He wanted to do it twice, but they wouldn’t let him….
