I think it’s safe to say this was a roaring success. Great food, great people and a lot of fun.
Thanks Andrew for all the fetching, carrying, Steven for being on grilling duty all afternoon, and to all of you for coming. There were lots of delicious signature dishes you went to a lot of trouble to create. And wow lots of cakes too – thank god!
Special shout out to Trevor and Helen for the lush Dwyer-burgers and Trevor-mole (I’ve got the last of that in the fridge) and for the amazing gift! That has to be the best toilet seat known to humanity. We’re touched to the bottom of our….hearts!

Great fun, guys. Thanks for organising the BBQ.
Someone asked for the Guacamole/Salsa recipe:-
Finely chop one red onion or equivalent in shallots.
Chop up a pack of cherry tomatoes. Each tomato gets about four chops.
Halve two avocados and remove the stones.
Slice long ways down the avocado in the skin and then across the avocado trying not to cut through the skin. Use the back of a round topped knife.
Use a table spoon to slice planes off the avocado.
Finely chop a small pack of fresh coriander, and one chilli of your choice
Add all the ingredients to a bowl and mix.
Add the juice of one lemon, a table spoon of olive oil, salt and pepper.
Leave to rest in the fridge
