It’s been 10 days since we started the 100 days of burpees challenge at CrossFit London: time for an update.
Note: If you haven’t started yet – and were planning on doing so – I would suggest jumping in soon. If you start on day 10, there is a 45 burpee buy-in, before you do your 10 for the day…the buy-in obviously gets worse with each passing day.
We have been considering some incentives to keep things interesting. And by incentives, we mean prizes.
Real, actual prizes.
To make this as inclusive as possible we will be awarding prizes for performance as well as participation.
Performance prizes: These need to be videoed or observed by a CrossFit London coach
- Fastest 25 on 4rd March (one winner)
- Fastest 50 on 29th March (one winner)
- Fastest 75 on 23nd April (one winner)
- Fastest 100 on 8th May (one winner)
- Completed 100 burpees in “one sitting” on 8th May (prizes for all who complete this challenge)
- Sub-5 minute 100 burpees on 8th May (prizes for all who complete this challenge)
Achievements: These need to be accompanied by video or photographic evidence; one prize per category
- “You ‘aint from around here” – burpees completed furthest from Bethnal Green as measured by Google Maps
- “WTF OMG” - for photo featuring both a burpee and puzzled spectators
- “Dapper” – for burpees whilst wearing (or not…) the strangest clothing
- “Introducing my glamourous assistant” – any number of burpees where you have convinced a celebrity to join you
- “Blue Steel” - best facial expression mid-burpee
- “That’s no moon…” for burpees performed in the strangest place
We may add more things to the achievements category as we go on…
Keep updating us with you progress on the official tracker page.

Curse Brie’s job!
@Jennie – Great news! And well done!
@Brie – What is it about you and Kirsty, and trips to Africa?
Being a big lover of burpees, in all the sick and twisted forms, I love this challenge. What makes me a little annoyed is that I lived for years around bethnal green without visiting. I might see if we can get the Swedes on this challenge. I will update you as we go. Good luck London.
