CrossFit Powerlifting



Our CrossFit Powerlifting classes combine a dedicated strength programme with the constantly varied, functional workouts of a CrossFit class. The classes are focussed around the three power lifts – Back Squat, Bench Press and Deadlift – and each quarterly cycles finish with a week of retesting to see how much your lifts have improved.

Class Structure

Each class starts with the main lift of the day (Back Squat, Bench Press or Deadlift), working through the progressions of our selected strength programme (previous cycles have used Juggernaut and Wendler programmes, for example). Following that is one or two accessory pieces to help improve and strengthen the main lift. The class then finishes with a CrossFit-style workout with some heavy lifting under high intensity.

If you have experience in CrossFit and the three lifts, you’re welcome to start attending classes. There are no minimum strength requirements.

If you are new to CrossFit and don’t know the basics of the lifts, or just want to gain some confidence before you start, book into our Fundamentals classes sessions. These run every Sunday at our 10 Malcolm Place facility.

CrossFit Powerlifting Schedule

Our CrossFit Powerlifting classes run 3 times a week, and each session will focus on one of the three power lifts: Back Squat, Bench Press and Deadlift. The sessions rotate every week, so even if you can only come once a week you will still hit all three lifts.
